Delightful one bedroomed apartment located in the heart of Le Suquet (which is the old quarter of Cannes), moments from fabulous restaurants, 5 minutes walk to the old port and 10 minutes walk to the Festival Hall and Croisette. The apartment sleeps 2-4 and is an ideal holiday rental.
LE SUQUET APARTMENT FOR RENT
You can see our house (and one of its two entrances) in the photo. It has the steps leading up to an open blue door.
Our apartment is in an ancient building that has two entrances, one on Rue Coste Corail and one on Traverse de la Tour. The apartment is located on the first floor and comprises sitting room with flat screen TV and DVD player, stereo and sofa-bed.
The appartment has a dining table to accommodate 4 people, and the kitchen has an electric hob, sink unit and is equipped a kettle and fridge.
The apartment is full of character and has white tiled flooring throughout, ideal for keeping cool in the summer, white walls and dark wooden beams on the ceiling.
LE SUQUET RENTAL ACCOMMODATION
The apartment has one bedroom with a large double bed, chest of drawers and large wardrobe. The bathroom is tiled throughout with a shower attachment and excellent water pressure. An additional two guests can be accommodated in the livingroom.
CANNES TOURIST INFORMATION
The area is amazing. Cannes is a glamourous destination and is ideal for a beach holiday, city break or base to explore the surrounding area. The mountains are only an hours drive away so it is easy to have a day's skiing in the winter.
Return flights to Nice are inexpensive if booked in advance, and with the flight only 1 hr 30 minutes long from the UK, Cannes is an ideal place to get away for the weekend.
The restaurants in Cannes are excellent and accommodate all tastes and budgets. The most amazing, romantic restaurants are located in Le Suquet, moments from the apartment however Cannes has over 400 restaurants and bars to choose from.
There are designer shops along the Croisette and boutiques on Rue D'Antibes which runs parrellel to the Croisette. There is an antiques market in the square by the Hotel du Ville every weekend which is great to look around.
The main supermarket in Cannes is called Champion and is about 7 minutes walk from our apartment, along Rue Favre but the closest supermarket to the apartment is just 2 minutes walk and sells everything and bakes croissants and bread daily.
It is unnecessary to hire a car during your holiday unless you intend to play golf (there are 3 golf courses within 10 miles of Cannes) or explore the surrounding area. It is easy to take the train to Nice, Monte Carlo or Marseilles and the station is a short walk from the apartment.
How to get to Cannes:
Transferring to Cannes from Nice Airport takes about 30 minutes. The easiest way to travel to Cannes is by coach (every 15/30 minutes). The coach ticket desk is right outside the airport terminal and the coach pick up area to Cannes (number 3) is opposite. The coach will stop outside the Hotel du Ville (Town Hall) in Cannes and the apartment is only a five minute walk away. There is also a taxi rank next to the Hotel du Ville.
